I provide a variety of editing services bookable through my site contact form or other platforms such as Reedsy and Thumbtack.

I typically charge by the word based on the Editorial Freelance Association’s standard rates for the year. Some projects that are more comprehensive may end up being charged by the hour, still matching the EFA’s standard rates.

Services Provided

  • Before submitting to a publisher or other review system, it's helpful to get your proposal looked at by another industry professional. I benchmark from my time as an Acquisitions Editor at various publishing houses and can help tailor your proposal towards industry standard.

  • This is a big one! The developmental editing services I provide help keep you and your writing on-track and successful. Whether in batch edits or a single, complete manuscript edit, I will ensure the text is cohesive, clear, professional, and more.

  • If your work needs a stylistic edit and/or the technical review of a copyedit, this option is for you. This is what you need when your work is written and the story makes sense but the grammar, spelling, and other style and mechanics choices need review.

  • Sometimes, all that's left for a great piece of writing is for a third party to review the work as a whole. Proofreading a final project ensures that professional consistencies are kept up and is an opportunity to catch any last errors.
